![]() Day 3 of LionSHARK WEEK is here! In keeping with our shark-related content, we wanted to take the time to look at some pretty cool sharks and use what we know about them to teach you a little something about your business. Sink your teeth into these shark descriptions and figure out which one most closely matches your company’s profile! ![]() LionSHARK WEEK is here so all this week we’ll be featuring Shark Week-style content to delight readers! Instead of providing you with a live cam to view the sharky action going on at the office (because let’s face it, that would be creepy and reduce productivity) we’re going to give you a glimpse into a typical day here. ![]() We’re wrapping up the LionSHARK WEEK blog series with this last post. If you missed any posts from earlier in the week, check out our blog or social media pages. Thank you for following and for your positive feedback! Well, I won’t keep you treading water any longer! In our last post we talked about how your business already has the basis of a great marketing approach, even if you don’t know it. In much the same way, you probably already have the channels you need to fuel your business’s growth as well! The key now is knowing how to use those channels. ![]() LionSHARK WEEK has been a huge success so far, so we want to thank those of you that have been following all week. For those of you who just joined us, we are currently running a blog series for small business owners. We also have exciting stuff happening on our social media pages, so be sure to follow those as well. Well, let’s wade into a refreshing new concept! I’m so tired of marketing blogs just pointing out everything you’re doing wrong (“10 Common Mistakes…”) or what you’re missing out on (“The Most Effective _______ You Never Knew Existed”)! This may be surprising to you, but I firmly believe that you probably already have much of what you need to market your business. These are three things I know you have and can use in your marketing: ![]() We’re smack dab in the middle of LionSHARK WEEK and we want to thank you for taking part in our weeklong blog series for small business owners. If you’re just joining us, this series covers a variety of topics aimed at helping your small business to rise to the top. We are publishing content around our LionSHARK WEEK theme here and on social media, so be sure to follow us there as well. We’re live tweeting a week in the life of a LionShark, offering up fun late night tidbits and even have a few surprises planned as well! Well, let’s jump in! As any small business owner knows, running a business is not always rainbows and sunshine – especially at first. There are difficult times and struggles. But in these dark times, your response as a business owner can mean the difference between closing up shop and spring boarding into greatness. ![]() It’s LionSHARK WEEK and here at LionShark we’re in the midst of a weeklong event, which we’re celebrating with a 5-part blog series for business owners to help them succeed in rough waters. In addition to our small business series, we’ll have plenty of other exciting things going on this week, so be sure to follow us on social media! We’ll be live tweeting a week in the life of a LionShark, offering up fun late night tidbits on our social channels and even have a few bonus surprises along the way! Alrighty, let’s get our feet wet! For a business, there is one thing that is crucial to success – one thing that, if absent, will lead to the demise of any business. What is that one thing? Strategic vision? An experienced leader? Deep pockets? A revolutionary product or service? Cutting edge technology? No, none of those things! ![]() Happy LionSHARK WEEK! In honor of this weeklong event, we are running a blog series for business owners to give them the pointers they need to make their small businesses successful in a sea of bigger fish. Check back each day for new advice from one small business owner to another. There will be plenty of interesting content to check out this week, so be sure to follow us on social media! We’ll be presenting a new blog post each day, live tweeting a week in the life of a LionShark, offering up fun late night tidbits on our social channels and even have a few bonus surprises along the way! Well, let’s go ahead and dive right in! Being an effective leader is difficult for many reasons, the least of which is that no two people are alike. This makes it extremely difficult to offer advice on how to lead effectively because people have different life experiences, motivators, working styles, goals and, of course, leadership styles. Then, you pile on the fact that every situation is different, and it begins to look impossible to offer any sage advice at all to help people be better leaders. So how can you offer advice that applies to every person, in every situation, at any given time? By focusing on the four pillars of effective leadership, you can create a universal blueprint for small business leadership. |
