1. Professional Tool Subscription
Whether it’s a project management tool or a social media publishing tool, the marketer in your life needs some help getting work done. Find out which tool is an everyday must for him/her and then offer to pay for the subscription when it’s up for renewal. Depending on the price, you can opt to pay for a month, six months, or even a year (there’s often a discount for prepaying for the year in advance so this might be more reasonably priced than you’d imagine). This is the kind of gift that will make content marketers feel thankful to have you in their life every single day that they’re working… so every day!
2. iStock Credits
Great images make content much stickier, which is why marketers love them! Give the content marketers on your list some buying power by loading up his/her iStock (or other paid image site) account with credits. It’s kind of like buying a gift card… but way better!
3. A Fancy Notebook
Marketers like to take notes and, for whatever reason, notes can be easier to take by hand than on a tablet or laptop. A notebook is portable and doesn’t need to be plugged in, so you can bring it and use it anywhere for as many hours as needed, which makes it a great tool to have around. Additionally, jotting down ideas in something that looks great makes people more enthusiastic about what they’re working on.
Physically writing things down can help people remember them better and allow their brain to process them more effectively, which means getting the marketer on your list a notebook can actually make him/her a better employee.
4. Time Tracking Software
Marketers are always wearing a variety of hats and getting stretched too thin, which is where time tracking comes in handy. Knowing how much time they’re spending on which task is absolutely invaluable (especially if they’re racking up billable hours for clients). If the content marketer in your life isn’t doing time tracking yet, this will empower him/her with eye-opening data. (Bonus: There are a lot of great time trackers out there that are free, so you can give the gift of an amazing referral at no cost.)
5. Strong Coffee
Content markers + coffee = success. Enough said. You can wrap it up in a fancy box or basket or load it into an IV (kidding!), just make sure it’s highly caffeinated.
6. Some Chocolate
Pulling long hours calls for some much-needed chocolate, which is why it’s a great gift for putting a smile on the face of any content marketer! Go traditional with milk or dark chocolate or mix it up with chili powder, bacon, or lime infused chocolate. Marketers will love it no matter what’s inside.
7. A Clone
Okay, so this isn’t possible, but wouldn’t it be great if it was?
